When Roots Grow Up
Grow down is the motto of all good roots,
Grow up is what some do.
For wouldn't you not rather
Grow up too?
Some trees extend their roots,
As deep as they can go,
Like children digging to China,
Ever down they grow.
When roots end up in China,
Growing down is through.
Such roots emerge as branches
And wear a leafy do!
