Come again!

Come again!
Originally uploaded by Dr Photo Moto

Gone is the thistle, freshly fallen.
Gone are spiny stems and purple petals.
Far flung the seeds of nettle
By finch and autumn breezes.

Come again thistle; come springtime!
Come with gifts of nectar and pollen!
Until then sleep the seed
So freshly fallen.

True Friends

Sally!
Originally uploaded by Dr Photo Moto
True friends glory in your happiness,
And suffer when you are sad.
True friends share the good times and the bad.

True friends might lie to protect your feelings,
But never to bring you down.
True friends are faithful and always around.

Giving freely without expectation,
True friends are rare like precious gems.
Thank God for true friends.

Might Be Mite

Red Mite
Originally uploaded by Dr Photo Moto
The little aphid is in the insect class,
It spews honeydew out its little anus.
Small they be, you might say, "Out of sight."
Small they be, "About as small as a mite."

Insects are cut into sections,
This entomologists know,
Head on top,
Thorax in the middle,
Abdomen below.

Many bugs in the world there are.
Fifty million species counted so far.

Each insect has six legs,
A hidious sight!
If it has eight,
Then it might be a mite.

The Taiwan Blue Magpie

Taiwan's Blue magpie
Is perched for all to see.
Royal emblem, as a tail,
Hangs magestically.

Wings to transport heavenward,
A chest just like the sky,
Beak of flaming sunlight,
Stars instead of eyes.

Our mortal sight is limited
To color shape and scheme,
Yet from God's creation,
His Beauty can be gleaned.
